Kirsty’s is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in

all its operations and supply chains. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are fully committed to acting ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships.
This policy outlines our commitment to compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our dedication to safeguarding human rights across our business and supply networks.

Scope
This policy applies to:
• All employees, officers, and temporary workers
• Contractors, suppliers, and other business partners
• Any other parties acting on behalf of Kirsty’s

It covers all aspects of our operations, including procurement, production, logistics, and recruitment.
Organisation Structure and Supply Chains.
Kirsty’s is a UK-based food manufacturing company specialising in the production of chilled and frozen ready meals supplied to the retail and sector. We operate from facility in Harrogate and source ingredients and packaging from both domestic and international suppliers.

Our Commitments
We are committed to;
• Ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains
• Conducting due diligence on suppliers and third-party partners
• Providing training to staff to raise awareness of modern slavery risks
• Embedding modern slavery prevention into procurement and supplier management processes
• Reviewing and improving practices regularly to reduce the risk of modern slavery.

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
As part of our commitment to combatting Modern Slavery in UK all Kirsty’s supplier of raw materials and packaging are required to complete a Supplier Questionnaire at point of onboarding as well as being required to comply with contractual obligations for compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and we reserve the right to carry out audits on relevant supplier’s premises to verify compliance with minimum standards.

Training and Awareness
We provide training for relevant staff to:
• Have an awareness and understanding of Modern Slavery and why this is this it’s important for Kirsty’s.
• Be able to recognise the signs of Modern Slavery and understand how to report any concerns.
• Know how to help any victims of Modern Slavery and understand how the business will support them. Identify signs of modern slavery or human trafficking
• Promote ethical labour practices in all parts of the business
We encourage all staff to report any concerns related to slavery or human trafficking without fear of retaliation.

Reporting and Whistleblowing
We maintain an open and confidential Whistleblowing Policy. Employees, contractors, and third parties are encouraged to report concerns about modern slavery by contacting: whistleblowing@kirstys.co.uk
For employees based at our factory there are confidential suggestions boxes in the both the male and female toilets which can also be used to report concerns.
All reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly, with protections in place for whistleblowers.

Monitoring and Review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect legal, operational, or structural changes.

 

This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (‘the Act’) and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement.
