Try as I might, I never manage to get my Slow-Cooker on in the morning. So this Slow Cooked Beef stew is the next best thing and a hearty dose of vegetables and bone-warming gravy is sure to make you feel good.
To make this hearty & satisfying mid-week meal, chunks of British beef are slow cooked for hours to make sure they are tender. We then add sweet potato and parsnips for their wonderful texture and to add a lovely subtle sweetness and serve in a rich red wine gravy. We then pair the stew with a light & fluffy potato and cabbage mash to finish this delicious dish off.
A filling low calorie meal
High in protein, low in fat, saturates and sugars and only 308 calories this quick low calorie meal is a healthy option which really fills you up.
Gluten free, made with tummy-friendly ingredients
Slow Cooked Beef stew is gluten free, wheat free, dairy free and soya free. We know that gluten can sneak into the gravy and dairy into the mash but we find clever ways to avoid putting ingredients which cause bloating and allergic reactions in our recipes.
Therefore, our Slow Cooked Beef stew is delicious but doesn’t irritate your tummy so everyone can enjoy our meals, even people with food allergies.
No red traffic lights
We never have any red traffic lights on our meals, because our meals have no nasty additives and just like you would at home, I look for healthy & flavourful alternatives to sugar & salt.
What to serve it with
Although all of our meals are complete meals for one in themselves, I like to serve my Beef stew with a BRAISED RED CABBAGE slaw
