Lentil Cottage Pie

Like most people, I’m trying to get my family to eat less meat so my filling Lentil Cottage Pie has become a staple in our house. It’s just as hearty and filling as a traditional cottage pie plus it’s lower calories and packed with veg.

Made with hearty green lentils famous for their nutty flavour and ‘meaty’ texture and combined with carrots & swede in a rich vegetable gravy. It’s then topped with our signature sweet potato and carrot mash and finished with a dash of white pepper. It’s so warming & filling that it’s feel-good food at its finest.

A healthy meat free meal

An easy meat-free meal that will fill you up for only 282 calories. It’s also low in fat, low in sugar & a source of protein, making it a great option for losing weight.

Vegan & gluten free Cottage pie

Lentil Cottage Pie is gluten free, wheat free, dairy free and soya free, in fact it’s free of all 14 allergens. We know that gluten can sneak into the gravy and dairy into the mash but we find clever ways to avoid putting ingredients which cause bloating and allergic reactions in our recipes.

So our Lentil Cottage Pie is delicious but doesn’t irritate your tummy so everyone can enjoy our meals, even people with food allergies.

No red traffic lights

We never have any red traffic lights on our meals, because our meals have no nasty additives and just like you would at home, I look for healthy & flavourful alternatives to sugar & salt.

What to serve it with

Although all of our meals are complete meals for one in themselves, I like to serve my Lentil Cottage Pie with balsamic roasted brussel sprouts
