"I like to end busy days with nourishing comfort foods and Cottage Pie is always such a family favourite. My Cottage Pie is sure to make you feel good with its hearty dose of vegetables and rich & complex gravy."
Cottage Pie combines quality British & Irish minced beef with carrots and peas in a rich gravy that uses a dash of Worcester sauce to give a real depth of flavour. To increase the variety of vegetables in this dish, we then top it with a sweet potato and carrot mash and a sprinkling of black pepper, which we think tastes delicious and helps make this a guilt-free mid-week meal.
A low calorie classic dish
At only 299 calories, low in fat & high in protein, we have given this British classic a healthy twist.
Gluten free, made with tummy-friendly ingredients
Cottage Pie is gluten free, wheat free, dairy free and soya free, in fact it’s free of all 14 allergens. We know that gluten can sneak into the gravy and dairy into the mash but we find clever ways to avoid putting ingredients which cause bloating and allergic reactions in our recipes.
Therefore, our Cottage Pie is delicious but doesn’t irritate your tummy so everyone can enjoy our meals, even people with food allergies.
No red traffic lights
We never have any red traffic lights on our meals, because our meals have no nasty additives and just like you would at home, I look for healthy & flavourful alternatives to sugar & salt.
What to serve it with
Although all of our meals are complete meals for one in themselves, I like to serve my cottage pie with spinach leaves or WARM AUBERGINE & SPROUT SALAD
