Bored of the same, mundane gym routine? Is it leaving you feeling unmotivated and uninterested in working out? We don’t want you to be freaked out by fitness so, jump into June with Kirsty’s Alternative Fitness Plan! This week we’re bringing you different and unconventional ways to get fit at the gym.
- Splash and stretch! If you’re lucky enough to have a pool at your local gym they’re bound to have an ‘Aqua Zumba’ class. ‘Aqua Zumba’ is perfect if you’re looking for an all body workout and is fast becoming one of the go-to fitness classes, due to it being high-energy but low impact. As the official Zumba team say it’s “one pool party you shouldn’t miss!”
- Battle the ropes! Battling ropes are one of the best ways to burn fat, whilst building muscle and improving your cardio fitness. You may have seen the likes of Khloe Kardashian and Millie Mackintosh on Instagram incorporating battle ropes into their workout, so you can see it definitely works!
- Bounce to a bikini-body! Did you know you burn as many calories bouncing on a trampoline for 10 minutes as you do running for 30 minutes? The popularity of trampolining has quite literally jumped within the past couple of years and now more trampoline parks are open than ever before. They’re also now offering fitness classes alongside normal bouncing. Trampolining is so much fun, you won’t even feel like you’re working out!
